EMPERIAL GALLERY is pleased to present NEW PRINTS AND EDITIONS, an exhibition of prints by CHRIS DAZE ELLIS curated by FERNANDO RUĺZ LORENZO. The exhibition consists of many of the past editions Daze has completed in conjunction with Nebo press and others. Many of the prints are a revealing glimpse into the artistic process of Daze's work. The sketchbook series of prints for example show the various forms of representational subject matter that populate the artist's sketchbooks. Musicians, urban landscapes and crowd scenes coexist with cloud forms, wild style letters and expressionist brush strokes.

Among other prints included in the exhibition, the artist has produced a unique print entitled "Singapore" which will debut at the OPENING RECEPTION: APRIL 2, 2012, 6-9 PM. It has been published by Dirty Pilot Press in a special edition. The print consists of imagery inspired by a recent trip to South East Asia and will be available during the opening reception.
Chris Daze Ellis' work can be found in the permanent collections of The Museum of The City of New York, The Brooklyn Museum, The Museum of Modern Art and the Ludwig Museum in Aachen, Germany as well as many other important public and private collections. In 2011, Chris Daze Ellis was the recipient of a SMART Power grant through The Bronx Museum of the Arts.
